Jo was rummaging through her parents’ closet and discovered an AE-1 Canon. A few rolls of color film and cemetery visits later, she was hooked and started producing her own fine art and travel photography. She currently uses two DSLRs, one SLR, and one medium format camera to suit her photographic needs, named Nikki, Casper, Milton and Ruby, respectively.

Fun-fact: her great-uncle, Michael DiBiase, was a prominent photographer in New York during the 1970’s and 1980’s and spent years photographing for The American Numismatic Society. His work can be found in exhibition archives along with Ansel Adams and Minor White. They both share an affinity for black and white landscape photography, Jo’s favorite medium. While her great-uncle gravitated toward the unpopulated scenery of nature, she prefers decrepit and abandoned places.
